|
Limassol Restaurants
|
Cuisine in Cyprus ranges from traditional Meze to international. Do not be fooled by the outside appearance of a restaurant - they often don't look overly impressive, yet the food can be stunning. This is such an example in Parekklisia. This restaurant is possibly the finest that we've experienced in Cyprus and the service is extremely hospitable. Andreas slaves away to produce exquisite meals followed by tangerines from the trees in their garden. You can find it just outside Parekklesia on the road to Kellaki.

Limassol Shopping |
Shopping - as if you needed an excuse! Limassol is the second biggest
city in Cyprus and is perfect for shopping, both touristic and clothes etc.
It includes large department stores (EHRM is the new name for Woolworths) and many
smaller boutiques. Limassol is compact and so walking around the town is thoroughly
enjoyable. Limassol town is a delight for shopping. This is partly due to the fact that it is compact, some streets are pedestrianised, and because it is charm and character. However, you may like to visit a traditional market: Cyprus Flea Market: Tel: 77778282 - Asomatos Village Flea Market Saturdays and Sundays 9 am - 7 pm including during festivals (Christmas/Easter etc). It's very flat and compact, under a roof, and easy to walk around. Includes toilets and cafe. www.apacy.com - The Old Port Sea Sponges Exhibition Centre is also in Limassol and contains an enormous range of sea shells and corals as well as body care products. It is an excellent place for marine life and heritage. |

A company that we work with has the most fantastic personal service. Here are some of the services that they offer:
Did you know that Armata arranges many things for you to enjoy on your holiday. The list is very long and you can find most activities from angling to skiing, horse riding to flying, please see some of the services we offer in the links below
For larger modern houses with pools etc you can also try www.touchoftrust.com. Prices start from 70 CYP (around £100 GBP) per day.
It's best to hire a car for Cyprus. You can hire a car for about the same price that you would pay for one ticket on a coach tour. You therefore have much more freedom and if you are in a couple, group, or family, you can save a lot of money. Taxis from the airport are also more than one day of car hire, although buses are much cheaper (they don't run on a Sunday however). The roads are excellent and the driving very relaxed. Most places of interest are between 15 minutes and 1 hour drive. We rarely come across congestion, other than in Nicosia. Of course there are also many closer attractions to The Old Mill House village villa, such as the golf club (1 km away) which includes a swimming pool and bar with cafeteria. There are other local villages to explore, scenery, and plenty of places to walk and enjoy.
For all Cyprus telephone numbers, add +357 at the beginning when phoning from abroad.

It's probably best to fly into Larnaca, but there's no reason why you shouldn't fly into Paphos. It would be slightly further to drive, but if the flights are significantly cheaper it might be worth it!

Tel: +441244544959 for a UK family based company that rent from £14 GBP per day.
It is most definitely recommended that you hire a car - you cannot see the most beautiful parts of Cyprus by bus or public transport. Furthermore, even for one person, hiring a car for one day can be cheaper than paying for a tourist coach. Should you wish, we can arrange a taxi from Larnaca airport to The Old Mill House for 20-25 CYP and then you could arrange for your hire car to be left at the cottage.
http://www.cypruscar.net/ - prices start from 65 CYP per week.
www.holidayautos.co.uk are often very competitive.
There are many companies in Cyprus - don't be afraid to barter a little!!!!
